Pipis is an eight-year-old boy who lives in Cyprus. His teacher shows Li- the Chinese family’s nanny- some of his drawings, where Li replaces his mum Diana, who is very busy at work. The boy, who refuses to speak, has written of how he has two mums! That evening, Li is the victim of Diana’s anger, as she fears she is being replaced both as a mother and as a wife. At last, the next day Pipis speaks to his mum, but his words reveal how he has adopted some of the common prejudices against people who are “different”.
