Amongst the various horrors and scandals, he is struck by one story in particular: the story concerning a man in Africa, who, having escaped death, ends up in a refugee camp. The man survived the military’s attack on his village in Darfur; he fought courageously in the attempt to save his family, and then, having been taken by the army of the African Union, he finds himself in a refugee camp.
