The comic starts with what will later be discovered to be a movie scene: a boy is rescued by a white man and they run away from war and death, leaving behind the young boy’s older brother. The scene ends and the director and his assistant talk about it. The assistant, who is a young African woman, is critical of the way Africans are portrayed in Western movies: babies who always need to be rescued by strong white men. At first, the director does not understand her criticism, but her statement will slowly change his mind…
