Funmi meets a man and falls in love with him. He promises to take her to America and she decides to go, although her best friend Ronke, an art student, advises her to wait. Funmi is taken to a brothel in Italy where she is forced to become a prostitute. One year later, the two friends meet in an Italian university: Ronke is starting a drawing lesson while Funmi is the model who gets laughed at by the students because of the pride with which she exhibits herself, when she is really none other than a prostitute. When the two friends’ glances meet, Funmi is speechless: only her tears speak of violence and afflictions she has had to suffer.
