Mandla Sithole is 17, lives on his own and gets by committing petty crimes. One day, he’s taken to jail for committing a crime he’s not responsible for. Here, he meets an old friend of his motherwho had died of Aids two years before. This man explains to him that the constitution (inspired by Mandela’s principles and ideas) gives him the right to have a lawyer and so he gets one. Finally, he graduates from university.
