Azinda and the horror of a forced marriage – Azinda’s story deals with the abuses that women often undergo during their entire life time. Unwanted by her parents, then sold to a family who exploits and mistreats her, Azinda is 13 years old when she marries an old drunk and becomes the object of all kinds of violence. Once a widow, she has to face the cruelty of the village people, who insult her and leave her for days under the burning sun, without water or food. And then, all of sudden, everyone begins calling Azinda a witch, at which point she can’t escape the collective anger any longer.
