Two countrymen arrive in Abidjan and meet Cauphy Gombo, a ruthless businessman who is very angry because all his debtors have left for the countryside. Incredibly, he asks them to pay 1,000 francs for every building they’ve seen. They pay, thinking themselves clever, since in fact they had viewed buildings for 15,000 francs.
