Chad’s great epic deeds – After being trained by the English army in Egypt (an English colony at the time), Rabah decides to go back to his country, Sudan. On his way back he meets Ziber, a rich merchant who, thanks to his personal army, can impose his authority on Darfur, triggering a war against the Sultan Ibrahim who legitimately holds the power. The war continues for several years, even after the death of the Sultan, because there are always new power struggles to fight for.
