Rwanda. A hutu girl is engaged with a tutsi boy. One night, the girl tells her mum about her boyfriend’s intention to marry her. Her father, a strict and violent man, finds out about the relationship and when he returns home, he beats his daughter to death. The girl is pregnant and she dies in hospital. Her father is brought to court while a demonstration against interethnic violence and hatred is taking place.
